Overview

A brand film for NKD SMPLY that wraps a clean-label snack brief in fine art and visual wit: Renaissance masters meet modern crunch. The kind of campaign that makes a "better-for-you" product feel genuinely covetable without taking itself too seriously.

The campaign put a Renaissance nude on a wall in Venice Beach, holding a bag of Cheetos and standing on a skateboard.

Same great taste, butt naked.

The product has no dyes and no artificial flavours. The line takes that literally, and so does the painting: a figure lifted from the Renaissance, undressed, holding the bag.

Building the joke as a mural rather than a poster is what makes it land. Painted at the scale of a building on a street full of murals, it reads as public art first and an advert second, which is the only way this line survives being read out loud.
